NHL Playoffs Betting in Ontario 2022

The 2022 NHL playoffs kicked off on Monday, May 2nd and will end no later than June 30th. There are playoffs games almost everyday between the two dates, allowing bettors to wager on a variety of bet types this year. Popular wager types include Puck Lines, Money Lines, Over/Unders, Outrights, Futures and Props.Β

Three Canadian teams were able to advance to the first round of the playoffs: the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oiler and Calgary Flames. Two of the teams were able to make it to the second round in the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. The Toronto Maple Leafs lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round in 7 games.

Unfortunately, the Flames and the Oilers had to play each other in the second round and only one was able to punch a ticket to the third round. The Oilers defeated the Flames in 7 to advance. All of Canada’s hope to bring back the title to the North now rests on the Oilers.Β

A Canadian team has not won the Stanley Cup since the Montreal Canadiens did so back in 1993.Β

Ontario sports betting fans can bet on the Edmonton Oilers against the Colorado Avalanche in the third round starting from June 3rd. The team are huge underdogs but are getting some fantastic odds from all major sports betting sites in Ontario. Most oddsmakers put the team as high as +1000 to win the title this year.

2022 NHL Playoff Odds

There are currently only 4 teams left to bet on in the NHL Finals, one of which is the Canadian-based Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers will be playing the tournament favourites the Colorado Avalanche and the New York rangers will be taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
